We care about your privacy.

We collect what we need to run the newsletter, reply to your messages, and improve the site. We don’t sell your data. We don’t run ads on the site. Every email we get back gets a real human reply.

• Your email address when you sign up for the newsletter or grab a free Notion template (handled through Beehiiv).
• Anything you submit in a contact form: name, email, message.
• Automatic data when you browse: IP address, browser, pages you visit, time on site, where you came from. This comes through Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Vercel Analytics.

• Send you the newsletter you signed up for
• Reply when you message us
• Understand how the site is used and make it better
• Detect spam, abuse, and bots
• Meet legal obligations when required

These services help run the site. Each has its own privacy policy linked below.

• Beehiiv — newsletter delivery, email list analytics, and checkout for any paid templates. Beehiiv privacy
• Google Analytics — aggregate traffic patterns. Google’s privacy
• Microsoft Clarity — anonymized session recordings and heatmaps that show how people interact with the site. Microsoft’s privacy
• Vercel — hosts the site and runs basic analytics. Vercel’s privacy

We don’t sell your data to anyone, ever. We share it with these tools only because they’re what runs under the hood.

The third-party tools above set cookies and similar trackers in your browser to recognize you across pages. They power analytics, session replay, and the newsletter dashboard. None of them are strictly necessary for the site to load — you can opt out:

• Disable cookies in your browser settings
• Opt out of Google Analytics with the official browser add-on
• Opt out of Microsoft Clarity through your Microsoft account settings

Some links on the site (especially on /affiliate) are affiliate links. If you sign up or purchase through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend tools we actually use ourselves.

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your data:

• California (CCPA/CPRA) — request a copy of what we have, request deletion, or confirm we don’t sell your info (we don’t).
• EU/UK (GDPR) — access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction. Withdraw consent. File a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
• New Jersey (NJDPL) — the same general rights, in effect since January 2025.
• Anywhere else — you can still ask us to show you what we have or delete it.

Every newsletter we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it once and you’re out, no questions, no friction.

• Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe, plus 30 days for cleanup
• Contact form messages: up to 2 years
• Analytics data: 14 months (Google Analytics default)

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data: HTTPS everywhere, access controls on our admin tools, and regular audits of the services we use. No system is 100% secure, but we take this seriously.

The site isn’t for kids under 13. If you’re a parent and think your child signed up, email us and we’ll delete their info right away.

When we update this, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. For big changes, we’ll email subscribers a heads-up.
